ECET - 2014 Preliminary Key
The Engineering Common Entrance Test-2014 (ECET-2014) was conducted peacefully across the state on Saturday. Of the total 51,971 candidates, 48,705 appeared for the test.
The examination was held at 91 centres in 12 regions.
In the Kakinada region, 4,735 candidates appeared for the test while 379 were absent. As many as 5,114 candidates took the test in Vijayawada region. Similarly, 5,691 candidates appeared for the test in Hyderabad-I region and 5,148 in Hyderabad II region.
As many as 2,273 candidates appeared for the test in Anantapur region, 5,355 in Tirupati region, 3,302 in Guntur region, 6,937 in Visakhapatnam region, 1,789 in Vizianagaram, 3,121 in Warangal, 1,505 in Karimnagar region and 1,103 in Nizamabad.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) Chairman L Venugopala Reddy released the question paper set code T-2 at JNTUK on Saturday morning.
Speaking to Express, ECET convenor Prof. Ch Sai Babu said that JNTUK conducted the test for the third consecutive year successfully. The preliminary key would be released on Sunday and the results would be announced on May 19.
Vice-chancellor and ECET chairman G Tulasi Ram Das, APSCHE vice-chairman Prof. P Vijay Prakash, rector BP Rao and registrar GVRP Raju were also present.
